Presumption:
Dr Jay explains how survivors of the plague 400 years ago are CCR5- per his experience with sex workers in the HIV crises in the 1980s and 90s. (Delta 32 mutation?) Like the survivors of the plague, these HIV exposed individuals just didn’t get the disease.
Question 1:
Are African populations or other non-European populations less likely to have this protection today, and do we see today expression of this vulnerability in Worldwide Covid infection rates?
