If you don't know us, you should. Collaborate with us to change healthcare for the better.
NCPDP has become synonymous with problem solving.
We provide the forum and process for diverse healthcare stakeholders to work together for the common good. The result: consensus-based standards that connect healthcare electronically, streamline the system, and safeguard patients.
Billing Unit Standard Critical to Manufacturers
NCPDP's Billing Unit Standard helps ensure consistency in how pharmaceutical products are distributed and billed. Payers and providers use the standard for processing claims, so it is important for manufacturers to determine the standardized billing unit for a product before it is packaged, labeled and submitted to drug compendia.
NCPDP provides billing unit information and a billing unit decision tree to help manufacturers determine which billing unit to use. If a product cannot be readily classified, manufacturers can submit a Quantity Unit Information Communication (QUIC) form for clarification.
Why should you be NCPDP certified?
The NCPDP Certification Program provides members and qualifying non-members, an opportunity to obtain a distinguished certification based on the ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of implementing NCPDP Standards accurately and effectively.
NCPDP’s Certifications not only allow you to gain the knowledge you need to advance your career, but are designed to help professionals like you, achieve and showcase industry-recognized levels of proficiency and mastery of specific NCPDP standards.
