My data comes from the now 7 friends and 4 acquaintances I've seen go on vents, all of whom steroids did jack shit for, and several that were part of the IL6 blocker hail mary trials last year (also did squat, except cause secondary infections). Most had a temporary alleviation of symptoms and then steroids either had no effect or worsened. The others had no discernible effect.
The Illusion of a Solution is all that has been given, up until the end of last year... and the biggest irony, now there are actual treatments, Lilly and Modernas MABs aren't being used, the vaccines aren't being distributed.. it's almost like someone wants people to die.
The Moderna vaccine is one sixth less effective against the South African variant, Pfizer's may already be useless, as possibly the MABs.. it's now another six month cycle for development, hoping that the next wave of actual effective treatments can get out before another major mutation renders them irrelevant again.
In the midst of all this, anyone expecting the Powers That Be to say "we've got nothing" haven't been paying attention the last year. Let's throw some steroids at it, yeah, that's the ticket.
