I'm not sure about this statement . My thoughts would be more placebo group deaths after 28 than LL. Only because family and doctors would hesitate pulling the plug on the ventilators even if patients were technically not going to survive . Of course I assuming somewhat that the LL group has more clinical improvement and live past 42 days
My response:
Good logic. There is good logic for more deaths in placebos and good logic for more deaths in LL group. However, I believe it's all irrelavent, because deaths after 28 days will not effect our s/c trial data, Top LIne Report, p value, EUA.
The 42 days was merely "proposed" for the 75% enrollment interim analysis, which was refused by Nader, anticipating rapid filling of enrollment to 100% at 390, and he was correct.
