Then in some instances you have naked shorting where the short is on non-existent shares so they never have to be rebought to cover. Naked shorting is illegal but the SEC very rarely does anything about it.
My response:
1) Then if the naker shorters "they never have to be rebought to cover", how does the naked shorter get out, end his CYDY experience/investment/shorting?
2) Shorts that are not naked shorting, have a time-limit? A deadline? A time in the future by which they must cover, get out, end by "buying"???
