Brain Scientific (OTCQB: BRSF), a neurology-focused medical device and software company, has begun development of a brain E-Tattoo device. The company announced that the innovative product will feature a temporary implanted or imprinted minimally invasive, subcutaneous graphene electrode paired with a micro EEG. The electrodes will connect to the micro EEG, which will be located behind the ear and which processes signals from the sensors and transfers the data to a cloud application. The proprietary offering is designed to provide continuous monitoring for data collection in patients with epilepsy and Alzheimer’s as well as patients who have suffered a stroke or who are dealing with other brain issues. Brain Scientific has filed a patent application for the Brain E-Tattoo device, and the company’s current focus is on safety testing, general proof of concept testing and performance testing. The small device is designed to have minimal impact on the wearer’s daily life. “Our current EEG device is about the size of a stamp,” said Brain Scientific chairman Boris Goldstein in the press release. “By shrinking the technology, the system allows for continuous measurement during a person’s normal activities, while providing a non-intrusive way to monitor various disorders.
