Pretty Padded Room | Online Therapy and Counseling for Women
We are an all-female team of therapists who really believe in what we do and have decided to make our work approachable and affordable for every woman who wants it. Pretty Padded Room has broken every barrier to entry that might make therapy intimidating. By creating powerful partnerships based on your needs (our team’s specializations range from body image to spirituality to motherhood) and operating through an accessible and secure online platform, we provide an outlet for you to vent, get to know yourself better, and help find the answers you need. With counseling that is low-cost, convenient, and completely confidential, Pretty Padded Room gives you what you crave: therapy on your own time and on your own terms.
From Our Founder
I believe that therapy is about shedding taboos, both personal and social. So I wanted to create a space where you can let loose and really be yourself. It feels good to be heard, and it’s important. Freeing your mind helps you feel and function better; plus with the time you’ll save from over-analyzing everything, you can take belly dancing lessons or finally run that marathon! (we dream big here at PPR). So I thank you for joining us and hope you’ll enjoy your experience.

FAQs
How does this work?
Once you register and choose a therapist, visit Account Settings to customize your Pretty Padded Room experience. You can choose your session style, schedule reminder emails, set alert notifications, etc. Each appointment is either 30 or 45 minutes long in length. Appointments can be scheduled however you’d like—once a week or back-to-back the same day. We want to make sure you get the support you need when you need it. To start a session, simply log in to your account page at the time of your appointment*. Click Enter Session and you’re on your way.
IMPORTANT: If you are unable to make an appointment, please let your therapist know 24 hours in advance and you will be able to reschedule for a later date. However if you cancel same day or are more than ten minutes late to session, your account will be adjusted as if you had attended. Our therapists work hard to be available when you need them so please respect their commitment to you by being on time.
Our Digital Diary lets you stay connected to your counselor in between sessions. She will not be able to see any of your private journal entries unless you specifically request feedback. When you want her opinion, just check the box at the bottom of your post and then you’ll receive an alert when she has responded. We’ve built this interactive journal as a way to resolve your issues faster and easier.
*Therapists’ schedules are adjusted to reflect differences in time zone.
Who are you people?
You can trust that our service is both professional and accredited. All of our counselors are extensively trained, state-licensed, and affiliated with the American Counseling Association (ACA). Please visit the therapists’ profile pages to view their education, experience, and credentials.
Is this site totally secure?
Pretty Padded Room takes confidentiality very seriously and all of our therapists are expressly prohibited from discussing or releasing your information to any individual, agency, or corporation except if you indicate that you wish to do harm to yourself or others (please see Terms of use ). We collect personal information to be used only in relation to your membership.
When you terminate, your information will be permanently removed from our records. We will never disclose your email address or financial information for third-party usage and have taken every precaution to make sure your information is private and protected.

Can I change plans after I sign up?
Yes. Simply click the Account Settings tab on your dashboard to view your options.
Can I change therapists?
We truly love the team that we’ve built, and we’re sure you will too. However, we understand that comfort and trust are essential to make the counselor-client relationship successful, and that sometimes, there just isn’t a connection. In these cases, we encourage our members to write in with any comments or concerns to support@prettypaddedroom.com.
If it’s an issue that can be worked out, such as availability of appointments, we’ll do our best to make it work. But if you’re just not feeling it, let us know and we’ll end it for you—no questions, no awkwardness. If you’d like, we can then recommend someone who might be a better fit based on your preferences, or you can choose for yourself from our roster.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No, Pretty Padded Room is a pay-as-you-go service. There are no contracts or commitments on your part—just pay month to month. If you cancel, you will be billed for the active month but you won’t be billed again.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. At this time, we can only process payments online and cannot accept health insurance, payment by phone, check, or money order.
How do I cancel?
When you feel like you’ve gotten what you need, you may cancel at any time. In the interest of protecting your identity, all information related to your profile will be deleted permanently when you terminate your membership. If you think you might want to re-activate your account at some point, you can also temporarily disable your profile, which allows you to recover your history in the future.
