Or, maybe the people swallowed gallons of lies pumped into them on a daily basis from Trump's twitter feed and far right wing media.
Maybe even.....Trump stood on a stage and encouraged an already angry mob, who have already told the FBI, while incarcerated, that they were told to come by Trump, to march down to the Capitol and fight like hell?.
Perhaps that angry mob forcibly entered the Capitol and shit all over the floors, stealing laptops and other items. The same morons who have been arrested for it.
Maybe the military is there because the FBI has credible evidence from far right platforms such as parler, that the idiots are saying they'll be back, with weapons.
