The shelf is a very transparent move by the company. Obviously, they will likely need money at some point going forward and this gives everyone the parameters ahead of time so it’s all out in the open. The higher the share price, the fewer shares involved. Pretty simple. Perhaps they’ll never even need to tap into it at all.
Once the growth starts to move faster, they’ve now got this in their back pocket to capitalize even further without springing it on everyone as a surprise. It also serves as a safety net of sorts, if necessary.
I didn’t expect them to stay at 50 million shares forever and if any new offerings that come from this accelerate the hyper-growth Rory described, I’m all for it. Enjoy the ride.
