Interesting gross Covid statistics on hospitalized
Post# of 148183
The US, as of last week, has a cumulative hospitalization rate of 364 per 100,000 population and covid deaths of 394K.
With the US population at 331M, the cumulative hospitalizations are 1.205 million.
394k deaths/1,204k hospitalized yields gross mortality of 32.7 %.
With 23.9M confirmed (likely much higher with unreported/asymptomatic) Covid cases, the overall mortality is 1.6%.
It is quite shocking go me that mortality amongst hospitalized patients is 20 times higher than non-hospitalized. This does not even delve into the rates in ICUs.
I'm guessing that the predicted (placebo group) mortality in CD12 is markedly higher than 22%
