My company owns 56 senior housing communities, only 4 of which have been offered the vaccine thus far. We had health dept officials travel to our site to administer vaccines at those locations. Of those 500+ seniors who opted in, nobody has reported anything outside of a 48 hour window. Just the same minor things everyone says about the flu vaccine. Granted, this is a healthy population of seniors, not nursing homes.
For me personally, it was just local soreness- again, like the flu vaccine.
All of these received the MRNA.
On that front, they are saying the J & J vaccine should be ready soon, and it is a 1 shot deal and can be stored at 36 F. If the efficacy is anywhere near these other two, it's a game changer for storing and transporting to communities like the ones we own.
