Were the M2M endpoints more complex? They don’t appear to be.
The primary endpoint was a change in total symptom score at 14 days. That’s simple addition and subtraction of the scores provided by the clinical sites.
The top listed secondary endpoint was time to clinical resolution at day 14. That’s more simply to calculate then the primary endpoint.
NEWS2 at day 3, 7, and 14 was the next secondary endpoint listed on clinicaltrials.gov. That could take more time to calculate as NEWS2 includes 7 parameters.
The other secondary endpoints were fairly straight forward, such as mortality, incidence of hospitalization, duration of hospital stay, incidence of oxygen use and duration of oxygen use.
