CCR5delta32 homozygous mutants do not have any CCR
Post# of 148166
The CCR5 DNA is messed up so CCR5 molecules cannot be made.
CCR5delta32 homozygous mutants do not have shorter CCR5 they have zero CCR5.
If heterozygous (only one of the two genes is mutant) the CCR5 molecule is a same, normal molecule. There are just less in the heterozygous mutant because there is only half as much DNA making CCR5.
