David Cole Joins The Board to Assist in Closing the Minority Healthcare Gap
Sep. 24, 2020 / PRZen / GILBERT, Ariz. -- The National Minority Health Association (NMHA) has announced that David Cole, has been elected to its board of directors. This 501c3, not-for-profit organization is focused on eliminating the healthcare disparity gap experienced by minorities.
David Cole is an accomplished healthcare professional and business executive with 30+ years of experience in building multiple successful products and companies. He is an expert in healthcare program development, sales and marketing, and complex retail channel development. A skilled strategist and business development specialist, David has extensive experience with non-profit organizations, government agencies, regulatory authorities, health care systems, and providers.
David studied physics and computer science at the University of Georgia and Georgia Institute of Technology and went on to co-found Statchek, Inc., a pioneer in electronic visit verification, which was sold to a public company in 1999 (now Wipro NYSE-WIT.) David then served as the first vice president of technology for AccentCare, Inc., a national provider of skilled services at home. He subsequently co-founded two non-medical home care agencies and served as the executive director for Interim Home Health in Atlanta, GA, a Medicare-certified home health agency. David also co-founded the former National Memory Impairment Institute, a 501C3 not for profit that developed educational programs for caregivers caring for patients with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. David was also a co-founder of MRI First, a low-cost provider of MRI imaging services, where he continues to serve as a director on its board.
An expert in the areas of home care services, he also developed CareMaestro, a system that reduced readmissions for a large west-coast hospital chain more than 80%. He is a certified Chronic Care Professional (CCP) from the Health Sciences Institute, a California-certified administrator for Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE), a former Medicare administrator, and a Certified Memory Impairment Specialist-Instructor (CMIS-I), from the National Memory Impairment Institute.
