Over in the UK, your press likes to quote anyone with half a brain, instead of the full-brained types, so as to promote everyone else tests except Innova's.
The UK Govt seems to give Innova repeat contracts for some reason. I believe the tenders and bids look at a company's complete package, and that does not get considered by the Press, who like to boil everything down to a single number.
Innova's package now includes both it's Antigen test and it's Antibodies test plus QMC HealthID and it's COVIDLytics AI components plus the bonus of anticounterfeiting quantum dots. It's an ecosystem that IMO can work with the NHS system, which reports vast improvement since October, coincidentally when Innova started contracts there.
At that time, October, it was shown that Innova's test was one of the best, and no doubt offered pricing and availability advantages. Since that time, real-life use of the Antigen test has had variable results reported from Liverpool: tests administered by 2000 military personnel, not trained medical personnel. It's possible variables in administration of the test could cause less than perfect test results, but that problem can be solved by double testing, which is regular practice when there is doubt about the first test.
There in no doubt, universally, that the Innova Antigen test is best at detecting the most virulent patients very early - starting within 3 to 5 days - at the begining of the infection, all things being equal.
Innova's Antibodies Tests may see very increased use after vaccinations, to track whether and how much antibodies are circulating in the blood and therefore tell how the vaccine is working.
