I don't know about other states but you can't go to any dealer at an SC gun show and buy a gun without proper ID or a background check. I bet it is that way for every state. Now some individuals go and sell their personal guns to anyone they wish but dealers, no way Jose. Your whack job politicians just want people to believe that gun shows are a major source of evil.....My guess is you know that too.

Assault weapons used to be banned and crimes committed using them fell

Bullshit!!!!!!!!! And piled High and Deep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those banned guns, with maybe the exception of the Tec 9 pistol and possibly a few more, were changed just a little bit and continued to be sold. For example, the the dreaded "AR-14". Basically, companies began to make these weapons without a flash suppressor and they changed the name to, hmmm, I think Bushmaster and maybe one or two other things. Stop by the next gun store you come across and talk with them about that.

The Ruger Mini 14 is just as deadly as any AR-15 but wasn't banned. I assume it was overlooked because it didn't look quite as mean as the AR-15. I can't remember the circumstances but I think Ruger kissed a lot of political ass to keep the Mini 14 from being banned.

Are you trying to tell me/us that crime went down because criminals are very discriminating and would never commit a crime unless they had a rifle with a flash suppressor? LOL
