Some observations on the Two Minute Drill that I w

The show was very professionally done. Not something that was slapped together on a shoestring budget.
This show cost real money to produce. Real people. A lot of people. Look at the credits at the end.
I was surprised all the sponsors they have been able to get.
It's the 1st of 12 episodes so it will be interesting how it evolves. This means it's on for 3 months. 3 months of Verb being advertised.
For those that can't get enough Rory videos, your dream come true
The shows were all filmed together. Whether over one day or a few, doesn't really matter. You just don't rent a studio and come back to it every week. Shark Tank films all their shows at once.
Rory was the best of the 3. All did great, but Rory's time in front of a camera shows. Camera will amplify your feelings. Hard to look cool and relaxed but Rory sure did.
Rory will be on all 12 episodes based on what I posted a few days ago. Does the other guest judge swap out? I don't know, but you got 11 more weeks of Rory to look forward to.
Seems like Rory is the one that decides the winner. Winning $50K is a lot of money and you have a 25% chance of getting that. Higher if you put a lot of effort and practice into it. $50K can be life changing for your startup company.
The one person that won was only asking for $100K and I forget what part of the company they would give up. They got $50K and didn't have to give up a penny.
That $50K will attract a LOT of people. If there is a season two, I think you would see the level go even higher because of competition for that money
When you are on Shark Tank, the winner doesn't get $50K. Even if you agree to a deal, it doesn't mean you got a deal. Devil is in the details.
It use to be on Shark Tank you gave up a percentage of your company whether you got a deal or not. I haven't looked it up lately but this was a hot topic over the years. ST position is you get free advertising so we want a piece. Also it keeps people from going on that have no intention of a deal.
Two Minute Drill you don't give up any part of your company I am aware of. The host/guest aren't there to give you a deal, but I bet if you have a good idea and company, others might be watching to give you a deal.

...about shoppable entertainment
I think you are starting to see the tip of this. Just wait until you can click on what they are pitching or you want more info. That is what is missing as with a few of the pitches, you have no clue what they are selling or their company
For me, the show flew by. I wanted more. That is a good sign.
I am a big fan of shows like Shark Tank and The Profit. This is right up my alley of entertainment.
Just wait until we see Verb's shopable entertainment
Hey red, couldn't a company like Microsoft just do this and eat David's or Verb's lunch?
No, they can't. If Microsoft did it, they'd have to do it in a big way and have their name all over it. Spend 10's of millions. Like the CES show they are doing all the tech for this week.
I'll do a football analogy...
It's not the biggest and highest paid back that can find a hole thought the O-line and run for a touchdown.
As my uncle Jack used to say, better to be nimble and quick, than run around in circles with your pants are on fire
