Delinda Timeline: 84 total days (2 months and 23 days) on ECMO and now decannulated after Aviptadil/Zysami/RLF100 administration in December.
**She was being considered for double lung transplantation due to the extent of her COVID induced pneumonitis/RDS but transplant was deemed no longer needed after aviptadil administration.

TIMELINE: 10/14/20: ECMO initiated on Oct 14th, 2020 . Paralyzed, sedated and hypoxic with hypercarbia (low O2 and high CO2)
12/1/20: “The FDA approved the use of Aviptadil for Delinda. She signed all the paperwork and the orders went to the pharmacy. They should be starting the infusion later today, possibly this morning.” Of note, prior to aviptadil initiation, “O2 sats are at 85 with ECMO (probably at 100%).”
12/3/20: “Just had a short virtual conversation with Delinda and Dr. Youssef. He looked at her X-rays after two days of the new drug. There is noticeable improvement in her right lung. I could even see it on a virtual visit with an iPhone.”
12/4/20: SpO2 reported to be 100% and she walked 600ft x2 while on ECMO (more the 2x as much as she has ever walked before)
12/5/20: “She is finishing the 4th IV dose of Aviptadil. There will be 6 IV and then a number of (at least 3) inhaled doses.” Her SpO2 is reported to be in the high 90s.
12/7/20: “Dr. Youssef said her X-rays don’t look significantly better than the last time he looked but he is VERY impressed with the decrease in ECMO and cannula!” Her SpO2 is reported to be 100%
12/10/20: “The Doctor showed us a side by side view of her X-rays from last week v. today and her right lung shows SIGNIFICANT improvement and her left lung looks a little bit better. Dr. Youssef is CAUTIOUSLY optimistic.”
12/11/20-1/4/20: Series of entries where the patient continues to improve with ECMO 21-30% but increased at one point to 50% due to nose bleeds causing Airvoo/BiPAP and HFNC intolerance
1/5/20: “ECMO is set at 21% with a sweep of 0. That’s right 0.”
1/6/20: Decannulated from ECMO

Recieved 6 doses of IV followed by daily inhaled. She was COVIDA free at the time and suffering from after affects. The FDA signed off on this as her condition and treatment regimen is unlike any other in the patient in trial or that has received under EAP.
THIS is what should get people excited. Not only will it help with the current global pandemic, how about EVERY OTHER LUNG AILMENT TOO!!!
