Yup. COVID show-time has arrived and now is down to cold numbers only.
Of course, we can speculate a lot
and it is fun. I personally think we won't have a 50% reduction as, in spite of the under-power, the board would had stopped the trial at interim had we achieved 50% reduction then.
My "feel" (no more than this) is that we are at around 18% death rate (47 deaths), I guess I am drawn to this due to the beauty of the numbers (yes, there is some beauty on them): app. 0.007 and 80% for p-value and Power respectively.
We will soon be liberated ... Hope that some will be economically as well.
