A most important news form yesterday's conference was the update in Oncology.
This was a bit disorganized but very rich in contents. Two testimonials:
1) Patient with stage 4 Colon Cancer May 2020, treated and in December PET shows no sign of cancer anywhere.
2) January 4th letter from Physician in behalf of Bladder Cancer patient who is not candidate for Chemo. Applies for RTT. Given 6 months to live, now 9 months with no metastatic lesions or spread beyond its borders or CT scan lesions. LL apparently curtailed the spread. Still early but there is hope for survival and possible cure (physician’s words).
These are very powerful statements and, in normal circumstances, should send any small company’s SP to-da-moon. But we are not small and we are getting used to these announcements (still should be earth-shattering)… But seriously, how much is a company that can stop colon cancer worth ??? Or delay it ??? ANY cancer ??? I have an idea but don't want to be accused of drinking my Whiskies too many too early or smoking something while still too green.
OK, OK, back to earth.
So NP is “very excited” (his words). We have 9 patients in Basket trial. 16 originally, 3-4 passed away and 2-3 were “kicked out” or could not come in due to COVID concerns. These are 6 months or more in treatment and several had been diagnosed long time back (very important).
NP's opinion is that 5 patients with more than 6 months’ survival is good enough for BTD filing. We have 9, therefore will request meeting with FDA to discus BTD soon (this month).
I am not excited for the above (exclusively), I am because after all these months there have been deep radio-silence regarding Basket trial results.
We dosed our first patient 9/27/2019 (mTNBC) and NP’s MIL 11/25/2019. First patient in Basket protocol (mBC) 4/15/2020 (if my memory is correct). NP has confirmed that the CTC’s are mostly zero and with reduced CAML’s. They are waiting for CT and MRI results.

The importance here is THE TIME LAPSED SINCE !!!, we are referring here to patients from few months back. This is imo extraordinary news. Apoligies for trying to tell you something long term-investors already know, but the truth is, I was beginning to get a bit anxious about Oncology and discounting it as a "no show".
If this works out I really don’t care about COVID or/and HIV.
