The current death rate of covid patients in the ICU is 31%, The hospital death rate is now 19% 83/390 is 21%. I assume most were. And the 31% is for all patients in the ICU with the exclusion criteria of the study it could be much less. Of course we do not know the blend between the cohorts were, but people do die outside of the ICU. The total number in both cohorts will be reduced after multi-variable statistical regression analysis to have anything meaningful. Pushing out to beyond 28 days maybe to SOC improving the death rate. Indeed the 28 day mark may have been set because early in the study the majority of s/c patients did not survive past 28 days.
Someone asked LL vs. Mav binding affinity to the receptor, Mav binds more avidly and can even displace LL. From BP.
Finally something selfish, I suggested steroids in late summer, someone here they make you fat. The reduction in death has been attributed by many clinicians to steroids.
