Nader reported 87 deaths which is high given reported mortality averages. One must consider, however, that 87 deaths may not mean 45 1st 195 and 42 2nd 195. I have treated patients for 60-80 days in the ICU, some left the hospital and returned within a month and ultimately passed. After ARDS and prolonged ICU stays, the patients have a serious rehab and recovery hurdles ahead and they are now essentially pulmonary cripples. Some of the 87 deaths could certainly have come from the 1st half of the study when the pandemic was raging and SOC was still early prior to broad use of dexamethasone.
