Re: mighty quinn #66639
I will post more later but your examples of Disney and Coke are flawed because they did one thing better than anyone before they began to diversify. Apple became successful after they stopped trying to sell printers and focused on the iPod. Disney had Mickey Mouse, Heinz=ketchup, Coke did Coke so well that most people call soda well Coke.

There are multiple business articles that support doing one thing better than anyone else equals success. In marketing the #1 rule is be first. If you can’t be first find a way to be first. If I say yellow mustard. You will probably think French’s but if I say gourmet mustard you probably think Grey Poupon. Even though French’s makes a gourmet mustard they were not first. Get it?

Brands are known for something. Goodyear = tires etc. I am not bashing my investment but I am concerned that management is chasing shiny objects while losing focus on the end state. They need to review their goals. If you focus on providing a product that people want, or solving a problem for someone you will be successful. I am concerned their motivations are focused on how they can make money. If you focus on the customer the money will follow. What does RMHB want to be known for???
