Here's the problem with that theory -- we know that COVID causes micro-clots to form. They may be why so many COVID patients develop myocarditis and other heart (and brain and lung) problems. So even if Brilacidin knocks out the virus, some of these patients are going to need recovery time in the hospital to make sure they don't die of a heart attack or pneumonia. BACTERIAL pneumonia can happen after a viral lung infection.
This is part of why Brilacidin might be such a great treatment -- because of the antibiotic properties that might knock out a bacterial secondary infection, and then also the anti-inflammatory properties might help the lungs (and who knows, maybe the heart) heal more quickly.
But to think someone's going to get a few infusions and be cured -- they might get the virus eliminated, but they might still need hospital care for the other symptoms.
But if it kills off the virus, it certainly should get people out of the hospital a lot faster.
