I agree...the South African variant has 3 spike binding receptors as opposed to one in the UK variant. Reportedly, this profile has the potential to impact vaccine effectiveness......scary. I hope something like Brilacidin that pierces the viral envelope would maintain its effectiveness in this case. We should find out soon.
