There is an underlying message with that list V

Verb really doesn't have competition on that list
A good number of them are in a different business
Take a look at
https://www.cheddarup.com/
Payment solutions
Other ones like Rallyware sold a training solution to Avon
Not sales enablement
SeneGence, Verb's client has a SeneDOTS app from Rallyware.
If you go through the list you can see the overlap
Cheddar up and Krato both claim Matilda Jane as a customer, but likely doing different things.
Krato is the only one that might have been in the ball park and went to get a hotdog or something a long time ago.
I posted about them a few times cratering
They are the company that says they have "Over 1.4 Million Lines of Code!" on their home page.
According to their news, they didn't add a lot of customers last year. Their two latest MIG with the MIG Living app and Theorem Method have 100+ downloads on Google Apps and few reviews
On their website they said "MIG Living blasts off in direct selling with over $1M in sales in the first week"
That was in October when they launched. Did they even have 100 downloads back then?
Theorem Method is owned by the CEO of Krato so no surprise they are a customer and he owns a 3rd company as well.
Probably a good thing as Linkedin shows Krato down to 5 people with one being the chairman and the other the CEO. Look up the other 3.
Last post on twitter was 2016
Last post on facebook was Aug 2020 so a little better
You know why?
I can guess. Few new customers and a skeleton crew or everything is outsourced.
One of my favorite questions to ask a vendor when they do a presentation or even in my RFP is...
Who are your 3 largest competitors?
I know the answer, but you'd be surprised how weaker players tell you they aren't allowed to disclosed that
As if it was a big secret
Now if you are one of these other companies and say Verb, I guess that won't go well for you either so might as well not answer.
If I was Verb, I'd give people a list of companies and tell it exactly as it is. Like Solofire did.
The other downside to all these other companies is...
If you spend a lot of time implementing and they go out of business, you are stuck scrabbling to do it all over again.
If you are a big enterprise company, you are going to take a flyer on a small private company.
Being on the NASDAQ and with public disclosures go a long way in sales for bigger companies.
Dominate Direct Sales like McKinley said two years ago.
