This ain't no disco no more. Look around.
We're barely 2 weeks into Winter, and the hospitals are spilling over.
In my area, they've been setting up tents outside, in the cold, in the rain.
I cannot imagine how the attendings feel.
What happened to all the promises, Tony?
Where's BP and the cavalry, Tony?
After all that money, Tony?
From speaking to people, my sense is this moan of fatigue, shrill exasperation, dread, a helpless apprehension.
I think a deadly concern and paranoia are setting up, and it's real.
Talked to a mother last week, whose teenage kids just brought it home. Her eyes.
And - believe me - behind all this is real anger awakening.
That's what I'm seeing. How about your neck of the woods? I'm in metro. Different in the rural?
