True, you made no mention of doctors, I merely added them because doctors and lawyers are what people complain about most when it comes to out of pocket costs for fees. That being said, It sure looked like you who made a joke alluding to the killing of 20,000 lawyers. And I made NO mention of one "medical system" being better than another. That being said do people who want the best medical care go to Guatemala? No, they come to the United States, no question. Kings from Saudi Arabia end up in Los Angeles or NY for health care when push comes to shove and they're in trouble.
Governing laws may be written by lawyers (based on what non-lawyers have asked them to draft), but guess what? "The Good...the Bad...and the Ugly" are VOTED ON by the American public. Lawyers do not have absolute power, no matter what they draft.
As for deaths in each country, you have to know that you are comparing apples to oranges. The United States is a world hub for EVERYTHING in terms of travel, business, vacation, etc. It would only figure that the instance of Covid would be far greater here.
