One more time... FGBhQbmPwH8 I think Youtube
Post# of 32640
I think Youtube going to crash tonight
Didn't they plan for this night?
In summary:
Paylocity buys Vidgrid
Vimeo going public
Vidyard probably not too far behind them
Oh yeah...
Brightcove, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCOV) is a Boston, Massachusetts–based software company that produces an online video platform.
Mkt cap 728.85M
Was chuckling on these fake click bait sites like simplywall.st
You get the domain name take off
With their AI posts that have 90% of it wrong
What they said: "If You Had Bought Brightcove (NASDAQ:BCOV) Shares Five Years Ago You'd Have Earned 215% Returns"
Reality is...
If you had bought BCOV in March of this year, you'd be up 300%
How did the traders miss that one?
Timing is everything
Did I mention video anything is hot?
Here's the kicker
No one really posting on BCOV boards
Why is that?
You would think with that volatility, traders would be all over it
Why is BCOV rarely posted about?
Verb getting all the attention I guess
Or most people realized you can't incluece Nasdaq stocks except the ghoststhat left their better days behind
Wait for it...
Now they will all say how they made BCOV bank too
red, won't the whole video craze go away when the covid thing is over?
As all sales people get back on planes, you know...
I don't know, but ask how many sales people are enjoying not getting on a plane now and selling just dandy with the right tools
Me, I am perfectly happy with Sales people doing online meetings. Saves me a boat load of time. At least 200% of my time.
Even makes feedback easier
"hey what did you think of our presentation?"
I didn't get it...
"How about we do a Part II so you 'get it'?"
You could do a Part V and I still wouldn't. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but not right for our company.
"How about we do a follow up call next week?"
Ahh, no
I call this accelerated sales process with out 20 follow up emails
If you never were around sales there are two strategies
1.) We are in your face. Did you check us out did you see this. Did you know that. Did you want this. How about that.
It's like buying a car. Or when you eat too much chili
You know why?
It's like fishing as they don't know what fish are biting...
If there was only software, like there is a fish finder, hmmmm
2.) Here's what we got...
Here's what we did for other companies...
Here's what we can do for you...
Contact us if you are interested
Not sure about you but I am a fan of #2
This is why I like my investment in Verb
It's clear the software works and customers speak volumes about the products
Who care what non-investors think
getting back to...
red, won't the whole video craze go away when the covid thing is over?
No, I don't think that go away when the covid thing is over
It's like when one day everyone woke up and realized, you don't have to a wear suite to work everyday
Everyone was waiting for someone to go first, second, third, etc
BCOV
2020 (FISCAL YEAR) 2019 (FISCAL YEAR) 2018 (FISCAL YEAR)
REVENUE $46(m) $41(m) $41(m)
EPS ($0.20) ($0.14) ($0.06)
Last time I took an accounting class the stuff in parentheses meant negative
Latest Q was positive though
red, Brightcove has a cap of almost 3/4 of a billion
What do they have what Verb doesn't
let's 'flip' that...
What doesn't Brightcove have that Verb does
One guess...
https://www.brightcove.com/en/video-marketing-suite
Watch the video and see their 'interactivity'
I like Verb much better
Brightcove has 3 analysts. Strong buy.
Verb has used Brightcove in the past BTW
Maybe as a test?
How do you know red?
I clicked on what of the videos and looked at setting. Maybe it was just a test and I forget when.
But they use Hubspot, Microsoft, Oracle, Vimeo, Youtube and other tech too
That's what companies do
Anyway, BCOV has a few issues including management. Changing of senior leaders over recent years.
Their revenue to cap ratio suffers as their grow over the years hasn't been that strong until now
Video hot you know...
red why you doing DD on new years eve?
Most of what I post, I wrote days ago
Now all caught up
No need to battle chipmonks anymore
They blew it on BCOV and probably every other stock they played
That is why they, have no job...
Happy New Years
