One patient died from a perforated colon from a feeding tube complication and sounds like subsequent necrotizing fasciitis, pretty uniformly fatal in a critically ill patient. Depends when they did the feeding tube in relation to the drug. When it happens it usually goes unrecognized for a while in a seriously ill patient, and by the time it is discovered, the patient can’t be saved and is often made DNR and therapy is withdrawn. Can’t impugn leronlimab in any way with that case.
