The first time I had the Cannacig filled with medication was with the Amber PIRD and a small mix in of carmello full melt wax. There was no excess, about 1/8 gram was put in the atomizer chamber. You must be careful not to overload, otherwise it restricts the air intake ability. The second time I filled, there was a little extra dab Judah gave me and that was stored in a tiny plastic cup holder and was literally about the size of a ladybug.
Regarding legality...I live in the Los Angeles area and have a medical cannabis card. As you are probably aware, medical cannabis is legal in the state of CA for those who hold valid patient certification cards for the medicinal use of cannabis per CA Health and Safety Code Section 11362.5 
There is a very mild taste. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it is more of an essence than a flavor that lingers in your mouth like when you eat something. The essence is not strong.
I don't medicate with smoked herb, so I can't compare to that experience. The times I medicate are late at night before I go to bed. I feel the "high" but don't stay up to know how long it lasts. It helps ease some of my back pain from an injury in 2008, which in turn helps me sleep better and more comfortably. By the time I wake the following morning, the "high" is gone.
The vapor lingers for a short time in the air and has a very mild smell according to my wife. The smell does not linger. I have had no problems with leakage whatsoever. The atomizer does warm up, but does not get hot enough to burn or melt (as some try to claim) the Cannacig or the plastic mouthpiece. That being said, I am not an extreme user. 3-4 strong draws and I'm done. I explained once to someone questioning that if one were to continuously take draws second after second after second, I suppose the atomizer could get to the point of extreme temperature, but no one will continuously medicate like that. If you're sharing with several people, I supposed it could get overheated, but then again, take your draws, let it cool for a very short time (as in 30 seconds or less I would assume) and then continue taking draws. Even for someone heavily medicated, I don't think it's rocket science. If it gets too hot, stop the use and wait for it to cool down.
A full charge probably takes a couple hours? Just plug it in at night before you go to bed and you have a charge that will last for long enough. Plus, the new Cannacig package includes two atomizers, two batteries, and I think 5-6 mouthpieces. So you can always have a second one handy just in case.
