One thing I appreciate about JHB's approach is that it seems to take progressive ideas, e.g. community college for all, and reframe them in terms of capitalism, in terms of investment and return. He corrected an interviewer who asked him about "free community college", saying "
it's not free, it's an investment". And helping everyone get a leg up, a door open, is straight-up progressive, but cast in in capitalist terms with some Ferrari keys dangling by the side
