I hope your are wrong, but time will tell. I have not been able to determine how conserved the primary structure of the spike protein is and whether the protein coded by the mRNA vaccines is sufficiently “generic” to provide a robust immune response across various emerging strains.
Leronlimab will be needed regardless.
There is literally no way to produce in a timely fashion enough leronlimab to treat hundreds of millions of sick patients.
Let’s hope the vaccines are mostly effective and let leronlimab handle the rest.
