Re: PennySlayer #68728
Pennyslayer, as you probably know, I am not on the fence about a quick sale according to First Come, First Served. More than humanitarian considerations are involved.

A sale of all of Cytodyn's inventory before US FDA approval would be disastrous in my opinion. The FDA is not the only gov't agency or political force we have to deal with. Also it is very unlikely that such a sale would be approved by other gov't agencies.

At the very least, Cytodyn must consider the retaliation and blowback such a sale might have. As I have said before, there is no end running the gov't. If we make them an enemy, they could very well put up roadblocks to our approval for all indications or encourage another BP to develop for approval an alternative CCR5 blocker. Other BPs are watching us closely and are no doubt thinking of emulating our Leronlimab's MOA.

If Cytodyn is absolutely upfront about a sale of Leronlimab to a foreign entity, it would probably get clearance for a limited sale. That sale would be enough for us to order up more Leronlimab and that is what we really want. We can't sell what we don't have. We can't do many people any good if we have limited supply.

Unicef and others just put in an order for 2 Billion vaccinations with Astra-Zeneca and Johnson and Johnson pending the approval of their vaccines. I would like Cytodyn to be producing billions of vials of Leronlimab. We can't do that by making enemies or enabling competitors. We have to play nice with forces much bigger than ourselves and even procure their help.

Greedy grabbing for the gold will cause blowback and throw a monkey wrench into our longer range plans. More strategic thinking must prevail.
