Eagerly awaiting twenty twenty-one
KT Tape - Geez, I don't know where to start. I must have read that press release a dozen times before it even began to sink in insofar as the magnitude of this deal. For how long have we longs (and not-so-longs) observed that exposure for our PEMF tech is the key to success, ie - sales, profit, etc.? We struggled mightily trying to explain to anybody who would listen. We have this thing called an Actipatch and it takes away pain with electromagetism, no side effects, no sensation, etc. The comparison w/ TENS drove many of us bat-shite crazy. This deal w/ KT Tape erases any and all comparisons once and for all. KT had all the time in the world to choose. They bypassed TENS and chose us.
We, the company and shareholders alike, got a few nibbles like the CVS deal ... how many stores; the B Braun deal and have yet to hear an update on that ... stymied by the NHS thru red tape and bureaucratic bullshit ... on and on ... when will this so & so pharmacy chain pick us up. Walmart? All this on a partial FDA clearance b/c it allegedly didn't work as well on the women as well as men. You can't make this up. We were rudderless and surviving on fumes. Something needed to happen and happen fast.
We never stopped BIELieving. A clandestine, inside-the-beltway power struggle evolved. From what little I know (probably less than most) they were unsuccessful. Our founder, Andy, died and who knows what happened behind the scenes but somehow the company emerged reasonably intact. The backstabbing shenanigans were thwarted (thankfully) and some delicate and overinflated egos were burst. Still to this day, the whining and crying continue (on another board). You would think at some point adulthood would kick in. Such is not the case. Share structure is not, and never was, the problem. Whatever missteps occurred were addressed by the SEC and their (the SEC's) shady judicial arrangement. After the smoke cleared, their judicial nonsense came tumbling down, we paid a small fine and were told to clean up the act. We did.
So, Founder Andy is gone, partial FDA clearance, and a smattering of deals to sell our Actipatch but not what we really needed to generate the sales & get the exposure we hoped for and needed. We needed a break and got it. The FDA, seemingly out nowhere, granted us full musculoskeletal clearance. The clouds parted and the sun shone but still no deal. Now we needed a strategy and Kelly Whelan, the bold and brash, newly appointed CEO went to work. She persuaded Dr. Richard Staelin to return, and along with Keith Nalepka (VP of Sales) formed the new board and proceeded to compose the soon-to-be-successful strategy of OEM partnerships.
For me, the first letter from the Chairman Staelin was the fire that lit the fuse. I think it was Pineywoods who said that BIEL is the safest bet on the OTC b/c of that letter, among other things. I could not agree more. Any doubt was obliterated after the second letter. If you were unable to read the tea leaves as to what was going on with Biel after the 2nd letter then you're putting too many "mushrooms" in the sauce, if ya know whatta mean.
For the first time in a long time we had a solid strategy, an energetic CEO, and Keith was fired up. Which came first or done first, I don't know. We have so many irons in the fire right now it's near impossible to keep track. Srinsocal (on the iturd board, Post # 241202) has done an exceptional job cataloging all the events. The full list is spectacular, and growing.
The first OEM was DonJoy and we were ecstatic. Out of the gate this was a huge win for the brand, as Keith said. MundiPharma has always been onboard. Also, we have Adcock in S. Africa, a half billion $$ company. And then lightening struck. On 14 Dec 2020, a White Knight posted info from the 'accessdata.fda.gov' showing the Actipatch full body clearance # listed with "Proprietary Name: KT Recovery+ Wave", confirming all the KW tweet likes for KT Tape. The next day the pr came out and the ground shook.
The expected ridicule from the bashterds on the iturd board are shrill as well as shortsighted. This pr means nothing b/c no sales, no profit, blah-blah-blah, the usual nonsense from the usual boneheads. But everybody needs a job right? Investors with vision make money and the rest wait for proof and then try to jump in chasing a rising share price. The latecomers do make money but not even close to those who have a working brain and know how to read and think; skills in short supply these days.
With this KT Tape deal we got what we have always lacked. The resources to achieve on our own, EXPOSURE, on a worldwide stage with a stable of professional athletes endorsing KT Tape products. Most definitely these athletes will be among the very first to use this Recovery+ Wave. This deal marks a seminal data point in BIELs history. The FDA full body clearance was the first one. Yea, I think it is THAT big.
All of North America includes Canada and Mexico. For the US there is 42,000 retail locations alone. The pr said selected overseas markets which means what? - Europe, Asia (incl'g India?). And lets not forget that KT Tape is an official sponsor of the USA Olympic team. So I think it is reasonable to expect a significant promotion at the Olympics for their latest product, (PEMF) Recovery+ Wave. The Super Bowl is a stretch but you never know.
The package is well designed, imo. I wonder how long it will take before word gets out (accidentally on purpose?) that this newest KT Tape Recovery+ Wave also just happens to work wonders for those 'down' days each month. Are you listening Midol?
The CEO of KT Tape said "We look forward to a long and productive partnership with BioElectronics." I'll be they do. Our CEO has confirmed that KT Tape is the company that requested a redesign of the original Actipatch. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts we haven't seen the one and only KT Tape PEMF product. Maybe adhesive products with the device inside? Or specific to a body area? Or a specific duration of device for different ailments? Related to that Swordfish, post # 2874, makes an excellent point.

KT Tape needs BIEL as much as BIEL needs KT Tape. In 2015 KT was hit with a Class Action Lawsuit for false advertising. The lawsuit was settled in 2017 for $1.75 million. KT was advertising that their products Relieved Pain and helped Heal Injuries.
BIEL provides KT with a FDA Clearance for Musculoskeletal Pain Relief without spending millions of $$$ on Clinical Trials and years waiting. I am looking for multiple new applications for ActiPatch incorporated into KT Tape Products so that KT can renew their 'Pain Relief' advertising.
Similar situation with DonJoy as they have a 1-8 scale on the back & knee wrap package indicating the power rating. Swordfish, IH, Post # 2785
Quote:
On the front of the box, bottom left corner, below the "EME Knee Wrap with Electromagnetic Shortwave Therapy", there is a sliding scale, Mild-Moderate-Maximum. The 8 bar scale is highlighted to bar 5 indicating a 'Moderate'. I can't see any purpose for this scale unless there are more EME products in the works at varying power levels
I am waiting for the middle of Feb 2021 when the 4th qtr 10-Q and the 10-K 2020 come out. The payments for delivering products to DonJoy and KT Tape and MundiPharma and Adcock and whoever else has the good sense to partner up with BIEL will be on the record and then we can see a huge leap in earnings.
Is it gettin hot in here or what? ... - WBeacham
ps - Is Srinsocal the same wily wabbit as Swordfish?
