I don't believe it. Let's see what it is when they have more than a couple of weeks of data. Also, the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine TESTED clinical trial participants to see if they had an asymptomatic infection, which means they were infecting other people but didn't get symptoms themselves. Pfizer and Moderna did NOT test to see if people had been infected but did not have symptoms -- and given the fact that lots of their clinical trial participants were younger people who often don't exhibit symptoms -- I suspect that AstraZeneca's 86% efficacy rate is just as high or higher that Pfizer and Moderna's bogus statistics that don't take asymptomatic infections into account.
That means, of course, that even if a vaccine were 95% effective, there would still be 1 in 20 people who got sick. Think a treatment is important?
