The next batshit crazy scheme will be the Insurrection Act. The Insurrection Act, please, invoke the Insurrection Act, they’ll cry. Totally irrelevant as the act is to call in the military to put down an uprising, which there is none. The SCOTUS has slammed the door closed on that, and slid the dead bolt. Now, if the Trumpanzees wish to rise up violently, I’m fairly certain President Biden will consider invoking the act to put down the Nazis, skinheads and conspiracy theory loons roaming the streets.
