Actually 28 days. 42 days was a requested additional stipulation the DSMC wanted to look at for 75% enrollment, but told us to stay the course on our original protocol. Which is what NP was speaking about that the 42 day interim many not even happen because at the current enrollment rate we could hit the original endpoint of 28 days before that 42 days interim request. Who needs another interim if we can just do a final analysis, unblind the data and submit the darn thing to the FDA? (granted as you mentioned a couple weeks to collect and analyze the data)
I disagree that this was the best news from the CC. Best part was when NP couldn't remember the Mexico doctors name after they gave us the cold shoulder. That and the succinct answers to some of the questions. I couldn't get enough of "No, next question".
Sounds like longhauler protocol negotiation going back and forth. If we get covid and HIV approval(which Dr. Mahboob says the FDA really wants to approve) next year like the great theatrical master piece line from Jaws..."We're gonna need a bigger boat."
