There is a small group of shorts/day-traders that work hard on social media to try downplay every conference call before it even happens, than they will down play it on message boards while the call is taking place as well as after the call to tell us all what a disaster of a phone call it was. A conference call is usually an update so it shouldn’t be expected that they announce a huge milestone on the call however that is always a possibility it shouldn’t be expected. The calls serve as a great tool to see what the company’s future short term and long term plans, hopefully updates on enrollment, and long haulers trail update. Longs for the most part are not concerned with omg it was a “nothing burger call” etc because share price could catapult upward any day week or month and either way we have our shares sitting and waiting unlike day traders trying to time it or the shorts who try and talk lie and fake the share price down.
