There are more than 20% too stubborn to get the vaccine. We have people that won't get measles and polio vaccines out here you know.
On the other hand, while the reported positives are 13m, the number of asymptomatic cases naturally implies the actual number of infections has been a multiple of that. You really may be at 50m plus cases without a positive test result, especially in the low income areas.
If we can get 70-80% who carry antibodies through previous infection or vaccine, you probably crush the thing with herd immunity keeping the spread very limited. That will take time, but that's the goal. Still need therapeutics in a year, but likely a fraction of what is needed today.
