I think that you need to view Ii-Key thru a historical perspective, specifically Betamax vs VHS. Both mRNA and Ii-key peptide technologies have been thoroughly discussed on this board. So when you read this condensed history https://www.wired.com/2011/06/0607betamax-vcr...ar%20later. think of Betamax as the mRNA and VHS as the Ii-Key vaccine. And yes there will be a Ii-Key vaccine because China, Malaysia and (future) others are paying for that to happen.
Remember these two truisms:
Being first off the starting line doesn’t guarantee you will win the race.
The majority public will always support/want the product that gives them the most “bang” for their buck.
And no, 7.8 billion humans will not be inoculated before the Ii-Key vaccine is ready.
So it will be the “one and done” mRNA approach vs the Ii-Key Swiss army knife approach. With the very nature of viruses to mutate, I’m betting on the “Swiss army knife”.
