Phizer Trial Protocol An article on Seeking Alpha

An article on Seeking Alpha claims that in Phizer's vaccine trials, that a portion of the volunteers were given 2 shots of vaccine spaced some days apart, a portion were given only 1 shot, and the rest were given only placebo. The volunteers that only got 1 shot, any of those that became infected, were included in the placebo group for calculation of infection reduction.
Also, doctors did not call volunteers to ask if the had symptoms, nor were all volunteers required to come in for testing. Volunteers were told to call if they had symptoms, then they would come in for testing. Thus, any infected folks who were asymtomatic, would not be considered in outcome calculations.
The world is churning with excitement and anticipation. I certainly hope either Phizer or Moderna has a great vaccine. IMO, these trials could be called unscientific, mainly due to the massive number of uncontrollable variables in the study. however, this type of a trial is for many reasons, difficult to design.
And the results just based upon 90 infected volunteers (Phizer).
Add to the above, that the vaccines may reduce the severity of the disease due to the pre-stimulated antibodies generated by the vaccine, but you can still be infected, be asymptomatic, and still spread the infection.
Going by the responses of virologist, Dr. Angela Rasmussen, recipients of the mRNA vaccine can still be infected, be asymptomatic, and still transit the virus.
