The question is: can we go back to "normal life" if the efficacy proves to be way below 95% under the old "normal" circumstances (no masks, no distance keeping and so on).
Constant & high viral load exposure will prove if a vaccine truly works. They tested merely under Covid19 circumstances which doesn't represent the real life as we knew it. 95% are being praised and touted as if perfect safety could be achieved. But where would be the real efficacy in a world without masks & social distancing?
I will leave it here, don't want to sound like a broken record.
