Alex Berenson (ex- NYT reporter that has actually done some deep dives on Covid and surrounding therapies) had some interesting comments about those efficacy numbers last night on one of the shows...they may not be as sterling as they sound, and like all trials, they are comparative not absolute. I was doing something else when he came on and I only caught a little of his discussion, but he definitely wanted to tamp down the enthusiasm about the % claims and what they really mean. He also said no safety profiles have been released yet, so that is one more concern with the early release of data.
Just another opinion, but one that should be considered. Remember who is putting out the positive info - we had a discussion of Todd and GNBT yesterday, so PFE or Mod blowing their own horn would possibly be similiar, no?
