If the audit shows that the machines and the hand counts are very close (even the GA Sec of State says there will likely be some minor differences), then it is my understanding the losing candidate can request an actual recount of all ballots. If that occurs, then the senate, house and all down ballot races will also be reviewed.
I can't find anything that says what happens if the audit numbers (hand counts) are greatly different from the machine counts. While not likely, if that happens, then a whole new kettle of fish gets opened.
