Three-month freedom passes for those who have recovered from coronavirus could allow Brits to resume normal life, including going to football matches and music gigs.
After self-isolating for 14 days, recovered patients would be covered for a proposed 90-day window to do whatever they want, Downing Street adviser Sir John Bell has said.
The University of Oxford professor urged the Commons Science Committee to implement the policy in order to "reopen society", allowing for key sectors to recover.
This could include getting people back into football stadiums which have been empty since March, as well as music gigs and allow the ailing events industry to get on the road to recovery.

The expert - who is not on SAGE but is part of the UK Vaccine Taskforce - said it would mean people queuing up for tests rather than avoiding them.
It would also mean people within a patient's bubble could avoid quarantining altogether.
Sir John said the current two-week isolation system for people who come into contact with someone who's been infected is "massively ineffective".

Prof John Bell has called for a 90-day freedom pass system
He said: "We are living in a world where we need to reopen society back up again and we need a structure to do that.
"And at the moment we don’t have that structure because the whole philosophy has ‘let’s beat them up with a stick’ rather than 'let’s give them a carrot’."
This week, US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer announced trials showed its vaccine - developed alongside German partner BioNTech - was 90 percent effective, with Britain having bought enough doses to vaccinate 20 million people.
The NHS has already been stretched to breaking point as the country fends off a second wave, but the Department of Health wants the delivery of vaccinations to begin from December 1.
All potential vaccines - also including the Oxford-AstraZeneca alternative, similarly in its final testing stages - first need approval by European and British medicines regulators.
The Premier League season began on September 12 in empty stadiums though trials permitted some fans to attend in the following weeks.
