A delegation headed by Dr. Ron Malka, Ambassador of Israel to India, visited Tech City, which is a 100 acres IT & Electronics facility set up near Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. Tech City is in the process of development as a one-of-a-kind IT and Electronics Hub in the city of Guwahati and presently a large number of national and global entrepreneurs have shown their keen interest in setting up various manufacturing facilities and educational & training set ups in the park.
The delegates were welcomed by KeshabMahanta, Minister of Information Technology and Water Resources, Government of Assam, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, MLA, West Guwahati and Chairman, AMTRON, RituBaranSarmah, Vice Chairman, AMTRON, M.K. Yadava, IFS, MD, AMTRON, KailashKarthik, D.C., Kamrup, and other officials of Department of Information Technology, Department of Water resources and AMTRON. Also Read - Assam pays tribute to the Bard of Brahmaputra Bhupen Hazarika on his 9th death anniversary MD, AMTRON briefed about the project vis-à-vis the facilities to be provided in Tech City to the Israeli ambassador followed by which, the Ivy GohainDasgupta, Chief Engineer, Quality Control, Assam Water Resource Department also showcased the present scenario and upcoming development of the Water Resources Department in the State of Assam and requested for technological solutions to diminish the present constraint areas. Minister Keshab Mahanta also had an exclusive discussion with all the delegates and projected the viable environment, both political and social in the State of Assam. During the visit, the ambassador expressed that, he along with the entire delegation were pleased to visit the set up and was extremely impressed with the vision on which the entire Tech City facility is being developed, stated a release.
