In this case, the grotesque and unconscionable scale of dilution is the main reason for the devaluation, not individual investors.
Those who left, are probably so utterly disgusted, they have no intention of ever trusting this company again with whatever investment resources they may or may not retain. So, i would not describe them as being on the sidelines, either.
It would take a MIRACLE to re-establish credibility and interest from investors here.
