I've ran into IL-33 before in regards to Alzheimer's Disease. IL-33 helps protect against Alzheimer's disease yet is a bad for cancer. What to do! Bring in the elegant molecule that is leronlimab. Intracellularly IL-33 can knock down inflammation, extracellularly IL-33 increases inflammation. Leronlimab will leave intracellular IL-33 alone, but when extracellular IL-33 activates cytokines to increase inflammation leronlimab blocks them. Good for Alzheimer's, good for cancer.
