We contribute components — colloidal gold and Health ID — to a product that is deeply embedded in addressing the public health crisis of our time. As such, deployment of the Innova Test Kit is intimately affected by political, public health decisions about how best to handle the pandemic. As QMC shareholders we have a direct stake in those decisions. Some decisions will benefit us more than others, some not at all..

For example, over the past week we have seen reports of how the British government plans to roll out application of the Innova Test Kit. These decisions are something we can all get excited about.

"In the United Kingdom, flights between New York and London are regarded as the world’s busiest leisure route. Plans are in the works for testing stations as early as November to accommodate holiday travel. The UK government has secured millions of the INNOVA Rapid Antigen 15-minute testing kits to help fight the virus and allow people who are negative to behave in a more normal way, knowing they cannot infect anyone else. ...According to The Daily Telegraph, the government has struck a deal to purchase millions of kits, after they were validated at Public Health England's Porton Down facility and Downing Street yesterday added that seven hospitals across the UK are trialling two different tests, which can produce results in less than an hour without needing lab processing."

This all begs the question, which of the two presidential contenders represent the best opportunity to us for income? Their respective policy positions on how they would address the pandemic are now crystal clear. One would fully embrace putting the pandemic on the agenda for government action, the other would defer government action, choosing instead to let the pandemic run its course through the population. With Biden one could imagine policies similar to those being rolled out in the UK, with the federal government out front in promoting and deploying the widespread application of testing. With Trump, this is hard to imagine. This isn’t to say that proactive efforts at testing wouldn’t occur, they would just come from initiatives of entities other than the federal government on a more catch-as-catch-can basis by state and local government and/or business entities. Also through the consumer market. Costco now sells Covid a test kit.

It seems to me there is a clear choice between the two candidates from a purely self-interested economic perspective as QMC shareholders. At least in regard to the pandemic, there is a greater likelihood of the use and application of products we create and market if Biden is elected in contrast to Trump.
